[ who would've thought closing your eyes would actually help? his mind drifts, wandering into the thought that maybe this is another thing he's forcing onto thorns…… but a creature feels like it'll do them good, and it's something they'll be able to care for together?
they eat, they hang out, and they share bits of each other's world—or rather, elysium occasionally joins thorns in his, but that isn't the same as having something they can call theirs. given that, maybe a dog would be better? they could teach it tricks, take it on walks—…
