thankfully, the bandits was the only excitement for the day (if you ignore the hair tragedy), and eventually townspeople start slowly filtering back. while not everyone has returned, there's now enough people around that they can pack it up for the day.
the capybara is eating grass somewhere, content and unbothered. they probably actually could have kept it at the farm in hindsight and have avoided all of this. ]
