a very eventful evening happens. followed by an equally eventful morning. as thorns is not present for any of it, he will just have to play detective if he chooses to. all he'll know when he wakes up is that elysium is not there, and for whatever reason there is a still steaming baked potato on his desk.
there are people who look spooked… scared out of their wits. they shuffle along and mind their own business, but there is a crew member who runs straight at thorns and says they need to find an exorcist, stat, followed by an aghast glance at thorns' potato.
did he ask for permission before getting that potato? did he? ]
[ elysium is going to be so sad when he hears about this. that was thorns' breakfast he lovingly made for him… :(
but thorns can eventually come across people muttering that they will never steal from the pantry again while writing lines. and if they need to get work done, they will do it themselves or ask for help when they need it.
thorns may note that they're covered in sparkles and confetti. is there a more humiliating fate for a grizzled pirate? no… ]
[ it's the same person thorns told about offering the ghost potatoes. he says, a little fearfully, that he needed help with a job but did not have any on him. so, he took one from the pantry… who would notice a singular potato? probably no one.
but then, other people had the same idea and so that singular potato turned into multiple potatoes. they woke up in the morning to the furniture in their room shifted a few pixels and to being hit with a face full of confetti when they tried to leave.
so basically, thorns started this potato heist. he has no one to blame but himself. ]
a random crew member who has seemingly not gotten involved in this whatsoever until now delivers another baked potato to him for lunch. what does he do. ]
