[ listen. their history is complicated and if they think about it for too long it definitely speeds into awkward territory, so it is best to just ignore it until they are settled enough in their relationship they won't immediately think maybe they should break up. ]

This is one of my favourite hiking trails. One of the easier ones, anyway. If you passed out on a date, wouldn't that make it an automatic zero out of five?
