this does bring to attention the overall state of thorns' room. him having a seemingly disorganised mess is nothing new, but it's possible for it to be even more reflective of thorns' current mental state and his lack of self-care.

We should do some decluttering while we're at it. If we're adding things into your room, it makes sense that we take things out. Or at least, put things in a more organised manner…

he lingers in the doorway for a few seconds, visibly deliberating whether it's really all right to leave thorns even for half an hour. ultimate, he decides that's far too clingy, even if the other person is lonely. so, as he disappears through the doorway— ]

and then as soon as elysium is gone, goes through a crisis where he wonders why is this happening to him. he settles on that elysium is joking and really will just return with only snacks and that lets him move... to stares at his mess... ]
