[ There's a wistful sigh, because he knows it'll be going away soon. That shouldn't be his main concern. He gets a bunch of cushions and pillows and then pulls Elysium down to flop on their sides. ]

[ The only reason why I'm not shocked at Elysium being 6'2" tall is because I looked at the stat sheet last night because I keep forgetting that he has a good 10 centimeters or so over Hien.

i think about how everyone in my last game was like he gives off 5'10" energy at most. meanwhile i've just been constantly haunted that hien is thorns height so i sadly have a very good visual of their difference at all times. ]

[ 5'10" energy is exactly what I pictured Elysium all the time... help. The way 5'10" is usually converted to 177cm but I gave Hien an extra one so he's 178cm... Tiny ass difference. ]

[ good luck, elysium... So much for wanting him to relax when it's doing the complete opposite. Good thing Hien is none the wiser.

He suddenly turns since the hold on him wasn't tight enough. ]

[ Hien bites back a sigh and wraps his arms around Elysium's torso and buries his face into the nape of his neck. The feathers tickle his nose. What does he smell like.... ]

"If you really don't want to stay here, you can go."

[ he smells clean, very faintly of perfume. think a little woodsy and of fresh laundry set to dry under sun.

instead of answering hien like a normal person, he evens out his breathing and pretends to sleep. ]

[ It's a nice scent and it helps Hien relax. He's seen Elysium fake sleep before, so he's not too surprised when he does this. He only knows a handful of people who can sleep at will, and he doesn't think Elysium is one of them.

But okay. You can't say that you didn't have your chance. Hien sleeps a very deep sleep, but the death grip he has on Elysium prevents him from going anywhere until Hien wakes or if he can somehow make Hien's arms disappear. He is so cuddly, but annoyingly so. ]

[ he might not be able to sleep at will, but he can fall asleep relatively quickly when sleep is too much of a luxury out in the field. you either take it when it comes during your rounds, or you don’t, and then you risk putting everyone else in danger because you missed something through sheer deprivation.

this, though, is definitely its own case. he feels responsible for hien in a way he shouldn't, is back to being close to him when he'd told himself he'd establish distance. what happened to boundaries? stupid.

so it takes him a little longer than usual to fall asleep. a little longer, meaning quite a bit longer. but eventually he settles, eases into his hold, and drifts off, curling more into him. warm… ]
