they have gone on a lot of date-like things, but officially none of them were dates. even the promised one they were supposed to go on when they weren't together never happened because of elysium's illness. ]
thorns may have no dating experience other than the time he didn't know he was going on dates with that one guy, but he can tell this is not looking good. ]
[ the way thorns can't tell if he was going in for a kiss, deliberately wanted to headbutt him, or if he was just so tired he slipped... any could be true.
he watches elysium escape in embarrassment and it's only when he goes into his room that he returns to his. he can now explode in privacy. why is everything they do an embarrassment. ]
on the bright side, he finally gets another day of real rest, if only because he's thoroughly exhausted both from the events from the night before and running in near empty.
he wakes up late enough that thorns probably hears him scrambling around before leaving. this is how he misses a gym day… awful. ]
he looks as if he's been caught doing something scandalous. he was. ]
—There's breakfast for you on the counter! Morning! See you later!

leaves his laptop bag behind. oops. why is doing the same things he'd done before more embarassing now? maybe because it makes him think about how obvious he's been this entire time… ]
he waits a moment to see if elysium is going to come back. when he does not, he grabs the bag, puts on his shoes and starts heading out to the elevator. he is still in his jammies... ]
yes. everything that can go wrong should go wrong. thorns is at least rewarded(?) with the sight of elysium being intensely flushed… he needs to get over himself by the time he gets to class? this is the worst. ]
thorns has to go back up the elevator, and he has to share it with an old lady who is clearly judging him for wearing his sleep clothes outside. he tries not to make eye contact as she makes passive aggressive comments about the youth. thank god they live on different floors. ]
it's also pretty funny how much animosity they keep getting from old people. elysium's life is terrible for a different reason at the moment, and he's back to the old pen and paper when he realises he is laptopless… hell.
as with all things, this gets better with time? or at least it should? ]
thorns goes to campus earlier than he would have. he has brought elysium laptop with him even though he has no idea if he will still need it by this point in time. he texts elysium a single question mark and nothing else. ]
