[ in the end, he settles on a basic model and spends the rest on extra film instead of anything newer. what matters is preserving their memories; their minds can fill in all the blank spaces and close the gaps in quality where necessary.

still, he looks far too pleased with himself when he bounds back to thorns' side, rocking on his heels like he's just secured some great treasure and not something he bought over the counter. you do learn to appreciate so many of the smaller things when you have to work for every bit of it. ]
