[ this thread started with elysium touching him, this is so over for them.

but they really can't be normal even at a wedding, how did they keep ending up on the ground. once they are at the booth, thorns just stands there and waits for elysium to say what to do next.

unsurprisingly, this is not a guy who takes a lot of pictures of himself. ]

[ they don't even have to be nice pictures, just pictures to commemorate they were here together.

he rummages through boxes and procures a feather boa and a moustache on a stick. he wraps the first around thorns' neck and presses the other prop into his hand, lifting it so it's properly aligned in place. what does elysium have? nothing.

he goes to start the picture taking unless thorns suddenly has strong opinions on how this should go, ]

[ thorns is so drunk that it takes so long for him to realize something is off.

so when he does, he just takes one end of the boa and just wraps it around elysium. the picture is taken while there's still movement, so one end of the boa is blurry, but that just gives it more character... ]

this is why he takes the same saliva-coated finger and wipes it back on thorns' cheek. the optics make it look like he's caressing him, but he absolutely is not. ]

the camera stops flashing so their final photo appears as if they are staring lovingly at each other, when in reality the intense gaze is them trying to pvp

the next set of photos get spit out. thorns squints and removes all the props off of him, place them onto elysium instead, and exits the booth. ]

[ when elysium's sober he's going to war with himself on what to do with these dumb photos. will he burn them or carefully pretend all but one or two got lost somewhere? stay tuned.

elysium being elysium, there's a yelp when he's abandoned. he will desperately try to clean up after them and putting things back to their rightful place, but he really doesn't have the coordination or memory to future out what goes where?

he exits… it's at least a slightly more ordered mess than it was before…

thinks about how they probably missed the bouquet and garter toss by side questing outside. sad. they are never getting married in any of these timelines it seems… ]

thorns has wandered back to the bar because he has abandoned being responsible. one of the bride's friends is chatting with him.

or, more accurately, chatting at him. thorns just responds by making noises and nodding as he sips his drink. he has only been away from elysium for a few minutes at most. ]

elysium is back at their table… alcohol has finally conquered everyone else, it seems. but they're currently playing a very interesting game which involves mixing every drink they can get their hands on like they're at a frat party, and elysium's just says that's easy and proceeds to down an entire glass.

his face promptly drops onto the table. goodnight. ]

thorns returns to the table just to see elysium dead. ]

[ imagine if they believed they could just drive back home after this. thank god they got the room. ]

[ the dead cannot walk, so. yes. everyone at the table is just looking amongst themselves as they'd only had a shot of the concoction at most and that was already horrendous.

the dead also cannot answer so it is up to thorns to make the executive decision. elysium continues to snooze… ]

[ he will let him snooze for a bit.

but some people are now starting to leave after a while, so thorns decides that gives them permission to also go. his cousins and others around their age asks if they want to do anything, but thorns just shakes his head... elysium is still dead...

he struggles a bit to get him onto his back because he is not as fit as he is in canon, but he does manage it. piggyback ride back to their hotel. this is so precarious because thorns is also very drunk. ]

[ it's about to get even more precarious because elysium rouses in the middle of this journey giggling to himself. what's so funny? everything is. they are. it is such an odd, giddy feeling to be carried like this when typically it's the other way around solely due to height. the world sways with thorns' stride, cold air biting at his exposed skin, making reality feel even further away. ]

Am I dreaming…?

[ his voice is muffled as he stares, dazed, at thorns' profile. something warm wells up in his chest, and before he can think better of it, he leans forward, pressing his mouth to the nape of thorns' neck to suck at skin. ]
